US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that President Donald Trump’s priorities in the Gaza Strip are “the return of hostages and ending the war.”

Rubio pointed out that the plan presented by the US president for peace in Gaza “makes both goals achievable.”

He added about Trump’s plan: “It is not only bold and comprehensive, but also a means to ensure lasting peace in the Middle East.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, expressed optimism about Hamas’s response to the US plan to end the war in Gaza.

Yesterday, the White House revealed details of President Trump’s plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which is based on several pillars, most notably making Gaza a “de-radicalized and terrorism-free zone,” with an immediate ceasefire and gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces.

The plan also includes releasing all Israeli prisoners within 72 hours of agreement acceptance and freeing Palestinian prisoners.

Additionally, Hamas members are offered amnesty if they disarm or safely leave to countries willing to receive them.

Trump’s plan also includes forming a technocratic Palestinian committee under international supervision to manage Gaza’s affairs, launching an international reconstruction plan for Gaza, disarming Hamas under international observers, and deploying a temporary international stabilization force in cooperation with Egypt and Jordan.
