Al-Ahram Gate monitored fertilizer prices in the markets on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, which vary from one region to another. Below are the fertilizer prices in the markets according to the local and global price portal affiliated with the Cabinet.

Fertilizer Ton Price Today

The price of a ton of fertilizer approached 18,399.57 Egyptian pounds, recording a decline of 282.07 pounds.

The price of a ton of ammonium sulfate reached 17,924 pounds.

The price of a ton of ammonium nitrate reached 23,090 pounds.

The price of a ton of urea touched 24,546 pounds.

Fertilizer Prices in Agricultural Associations Today

    • Nitrate fertilizer: 7,800 pounds.
    • Liquid ammonium sulfate: 3,500 pounds.
    • Potassium sulfate: 21,000 pounds.
    • Phosphoric acid: 16,300 pounds.
    • Coarse phosphate 12.5%: 2.275 pounds.
    • Magnesium sulfate: 6.800 pounds.
    • Fine phosphate 12.5%: 2.225 pounds.
    • Calcium nitrate: 21,000 pounds.
    • Fertilizer sack: 1,300 pounds.
    • The price of organic fertilizer in Egypt is 270 pounds.

Egypt’s Fertilizer Production Rate in 2025

The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that the total fertilizer production rate inside the country for this year was approximately 17.9 million tons, distributed as follows: urea production reached 6.7 million tons, noting that 3.8 million tons were exported abroad.

On the other hand, the ministry confirmed that the remainder of total production, which is 11.2 million tons of nitrogenous phosphate fertilizers, is as follows: 7.8 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers during the year, while phosphate fertilizers production inside Egypt reached about 3.4 million tons, along with 7 million tons of phosphate rock and 4 million tons of phosphate fertilizers.

Egypt Ranks Seventh

Egypt ranked seventh globally in fertilizer exports, surpassing many countries in Europe and East Asia, benefiting from the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, especially since the two countries hold high ranks in fertilizer exports. This helped Egypt enter new markets such as the European Union as an alternative to the Russian product.
