Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, received Mayada Essam Abdel Rahman, Egypt’s Ambassador to Zambia, as part of strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
The ambassador conveyed greetings from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Zambian president and affirmed Egypt’s keenness to enhance bilateral relations in various fields, as well as the anticipation of the Zambian president’s participation in the official opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which represents the culmination of Egypt’s efforts to immortalize its cultural heritage and rich historical legacy.
For his part, the Zambian president expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Egyptian president for Egypt’s keenness to have Zambia participate in such an important event, which is considered Egypt’s gift to the world to commemorate the ancient Egyptian civilization heritage.
The Zambian president also confirmed his follow-up on the course of bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing pride in the remarkable progress witnessed in bilateral relations and cooperation between Egypt and Zambia at the private and public sector levels, and expressed his hope that the governments of the two countries will work to strengthen and expand these partnerships to include other fields that serve the common interests of both countries.
