Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majid Al-Ansari, said that Turkey will join the Gaza mediation team meeting on Tuesday.

Al-Ansari added during a press conference in Doha: “On Monday, Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt, through meetings held here in Doha with the negotiating delegation from Hamas, delivered the plan, and the negotiating delegation promised to study it responsibly.”

Al-Ansari also said: “Today there will be another meeting attended by the Turkish side as well with the negotiating delegation to consult on this plan.”

President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that they agreed on a plan to end the war in Gaza.

Trump put forward a 20-point plan to end the war between Israel and Hamas and to establish post-war governance in the Palestinian Gaza Strip devastated by the conflict.

The Trump plan calls for the creation of a temporary governing council chaired by Trump and including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The plan does not require Gaza residents to leave the Strip and calls for an immediate end to the war if both sides agree.

It also calls for the release of all remaining hostages within 72 hours of Israel accepting the plan.

According to Trump, the United States will provide “full support” to Israel to take steps to defeat Hamas if the proposed peace agreement is not accepted.
