The Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee held its monthly meeting today, Tuesday, to set the local selling prices of petroleum derivatives for the period from October 1 to 31.
The committee reviewed the global prices of crude oil and petroleum derivatives during the current September and compared them with those of August, showing a slight increase in global prices for both types of gasoline (90 and 95 octane) and diesel during September.
After applying the pricing formula based on global prices to all petroleum derivatives, the committee found that the price of 90-octane gasoline increased by 5 fils/liter, 95-octane gasoline by 5 fils/liter, and diesel by 10 fils/liter.
Accordingly, the Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee decided to adjust the selling price of 90-octane gasoline to 855 fils/liter instead of 850 fils/liter, 95-octane gasoline to 1080 fils/liter instead of 1075 fils/liter, and diesel to 685 fils/liter instead of 675 fils/liter, while continuing to fix the selling price of kerosene at 620 fils/liter and maintaining the price of the domestic gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at 7 dinars per cylinder.
It is noteworthy that the average price of Brent crude during the current September reached about 68 dollars per barrel compared to its average price in August, which was about 68.2 dollars per barrel.
