Following the delivery of the US plan to end the Gaza war to Hamas, the movement announced its openness to all ideas and proposals for a solution without compromising its national principles, according to Hamas Political Bureau member Hossam Badran.

Badran emphasized that resistance against occupation is a legitimate right in accordance with all international laws. A well-informed Palestinian official revealed that Hamas has begun studying US President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Gaza within its leadership frameworks and with Palestinian factions, and will present a national response representing itself and the factions within several days.

According to another Palestinian source, Hamas received a copy of Trump’s plan from Qataris and Egyptians last night. Hamas is keen on achieving a comprehensive agreement to stop the war, ensuring a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, ending the siege imposed since 2007, and rebuilding the sector. The source accused Israel of always obstructing any agreement because it wants to continue the war of extermination, stressing the necessity of international guarantees.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces continued their heavy bombardment of the devastated Gaza Strip today. Eyewitnesses confirmed that Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on southern Gaza City.

The Israeli army intensified shelling of homes in southern, central, and northern Gaza. Israeli artillery renewed shelling on Al-Nasr neighborhood west of Gaza City and on the northern part of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Israeli tanks advanced in the eastern and northern axes of Gaza City reaching Al-Jalaa Street in the city center and infiltrated Al-Nasr Street near Al-Shifa Hospital, one of the most prominent health facilities in the sector. Other Israeli forces moved from the south to reach the universities area, aiming to impose a military siege around Al-Shifa Hospital.

Separately, Carl Skau, Deputy Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme, warned that all Gaza residents will be trapped in famine within a few weeks unless food supplies to the sector are significantly increased.

In an interview with Canadian CBC channel, he said about 100 food trucks enter the besieged sector daily, stressing that this number is just a drop in the ocean given the population of 2.2 million people.
