As part of the 62nd Damascus International Fair activities, the Ministry of Awqaf organized this evening a religious seminar led by the Palestinian preacher Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Hassanat, following the Maghrib prayer led by Sheikh Adham Al-Nabulsi, within the ministry’s efforts to enhance spiritual discourse and promote Islamic solidarity values.

In his moving speech, Sheikh Al-Hassanat evoked the symbolism of the two martyrs, Hamza Al-Khatib and Abdul Baset Al-Sarout, affirming that “the nation possesses, through its faith, the army of the One and Only God,” addressing the people of Syria by saying: “I have come to kiss your heads one by one, for you are the makers of glory and the progeny of the free.”

He also recalled scenes of solidarity between Damascus and Gaza, praising the positions of the Syrian people in supporting the Palestinian cause, affirming that “Damascus has returned with tranquility to the forehead of this nation,” calling for unity and steadfastness, and promising the near prayer of liberation at Al-Aqsa Mosque, God willing.

This seminar is part of the Ministry of Awqaf’s vision to consolidate a unifying Islamic identity by hosting a select group of influential scholars and preachers, enhancing the spirit of da’wah and deepening the bonds of brotherhood among the nation’s sons.
