The situation in Gaza is impossible and is considered a man-made disaster due to the conditions created by the war.

According to Hobbler, Gazans have repeatedly faced evacuation orders during the current war, noting that many have been displaced more than 10 times to places where healthcare centers and services are severely damaged or absent.

He pointed out that residents are faced with a choice between death if they stay in their homes or possible death if they move south to areas devoid of any services.

He described the situation in Gaza as impossible and a “man-made disaster” resulting from the war, targeting methods, clashes, repeatedly exposing civilians to displacement, in addition to collective starvation which he described as a punitive measure.

Hobbler said Gazans have suffered unimaginable conditions for two years, with no time tolerable under very dire circumstances, including severe malnutrition especially among the most vulnerable children.

Regarding international reactions, he criticized the silence of the international community, saying it stands as a spectator while the war is broadcast almost live, confirming it has done nothing to save people.

He stressed the need for a complete ceasefire, enabling uninterrupted humanitarian access, and the release of detainees to reach a peaceful settlement, with all possible efforts urgently needed to restore the situation to what it was before.

These statements come as Israel’s Channel 14 confirmed that the military operation in Gaza City will begin next week with airstrikes followed by a ground operation, adding that the army will issue a notice in the coming days to evacuate Gaza City residents to the southern sector.

With US support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 64,231 deaths and 161,583 injuries, most of them children and women, thousands missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that killed 370 Palestinians including 131 children.
