US President Donald Trump stated that he intends to speak with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the near future.

Trump told reporters at the White House in response to a question about this: “I will, yes. We have a very good dialogue.”

In a related context, on Thursday, a meeting called the “Alliance of the Willing” was held, chaired by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, and European leaders held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump.

The German newspaper “Bild” reported that the phone conversation between European leaders and US President Donald Trump was tense due to differing positions on sanctions against Russia.

After the conversation, the US president posted a joint photo with Vladimir Putin on the “Truth Social” platform, taken in Alaska, showing the two presidents looking up at the sky watching military aircraft fly by.

It is worth noting that Russian and US presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump discussed ways to resolve the Ukrainian conflict during their meeting in Alaska on August 15, describing the meeting as positive.

After the summit, the Russian president expressed the possibility of reaching an end to the conflict in Ukraine, confirming that Russia is interested in a long-term settlement.
