Ajman is hosting the “Big Bad Wolf” book fair for the first time, the world’s largest book sale event, sponsored by the Department of Tourism Development, at Ajman Youth Center from September 25 to October 5, 2025.
The fair features over 250,000 books with discounts up to 90%, prices starting from just 2 dirhams, and is open daily from 10 AM to 9 PM with free entry throughout the 11-day event.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Ajman government, supported by the Sharjah Book Authority, and in strategic partnership with the Ajman Private Education Affairs Office and Ajman Youth Center.
The official announcement was made during a press conference held yesterday at Ajman Youth Center, attended by representatives from the Ajman government, Department of Tourism Development, and several publishers. The fair highlights Ajman’s growing status as a cultural and educational hub. The “Big Bad Wolf” initiative started in 2009 and has expanded to over 50 cities in 17 countries, aiming to promote literacy and the culture of reading. Ajman marks its 51st stop in the Middle East, offering a unique experience for book lovers of all ages.
