US President Donald Trump signed an executive order reducing tariffs on Japanese cars to 15%, implementing a trade agreement between Washington and Tokyo, according to AFP.
Under the executive order, Japanese cars will face a 15% tariff instead of the current 27.5%, and the US will cap tariffs on many other Japanese goods at 15%. These new rates will take effect within seven days of the order’s publication in the US Federal Register.
