Chinese President Xi Jinping affirmed that anyone who tries to oppress or suppress the Chinese people will collide with a steel wall and face defeat and destruction.
He stated that the Chinese people have never oppressed or enslaved the peoples of other countries, neither in the past nor in the present, and will not do so in the future.
The Chinese leader added in a speech during the massive military parade held in Beijing on the occasion of Victory Day on September 3: “In return, the Chinese people will not allow any foreign forces to oppress, enslave, or suppress them.”
Xi continued: “Whoever tries will hit a steel wall built from the blood and flesh of 1.4 billion Chinese citizens and will face defeat and destruction.”
The grand celebration in Tiananmen Square in Beijing commemorates the 80th anniversary of the victory in the “Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression” and the global war against fascism.
The massive military parade was attended by several world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
