The 10th edition of the Eastern Economic Forum kicked off today Wednesday in Vladivostok, in Russia’s Far East, with broad international and local participation.

The event activities will continue until September 6 and are held at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok. This year’s forum carries the slogan: “Far East… Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.”

Representatives from more than 70 countries and regions confirmed their participation, with wide delegations from Vietnam, India, China, Laos, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Last year’s forum saw participation of over 7,100 people from 75 countries, including business representatives and government officials.

The agreements signed this year are expected to exceed those of 2024, when 313 agreements worth more than 5.5 trillion rubles were concluded, including 27 contracts with foreign organizations.

The forum stimulates foreign investment in the Far East and enhances regional economic cooperation. Annually, it addresses a wide range of issues from presenting favorable business conditions in the region to exploring ways to strengthen regional economic integration.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to deliver a speech at the forum’s plenary session, expected to highlight major challenges in the global economy and investment opportunities in the Russian Far East.

The forum’s agenda includes plenary sessions, open discussions, round tables, and specialized workshops, making it an ideal platform to promote international economic cooperation.

Thanks to its rich business program and diverse cultural and sports events, the forum provides an open dialogue space that helps shape the future economy.
