During the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the sister Arab Republic of Egypt, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt regarding cooperation in the field of antiquities and museums. It was signed on the Bahraini side by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and on the Egyptian side by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance.
On this occasion, Rawan bint Najib Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, affirmed the depth and strength of Bahraini-Egyptian relations, rooted historically and supported by a shared will to open wider horizons of growth and prosperity. She pointed to tangible progress in cooperation paths between the two brotherly countries, reflecting the gracious care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, and his brother President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the sister Arab Republic of Egypt, under the great attention paid by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance bilateral cooperation, especially in youth fields.
The minister explained that the Ministry of Youth Affairs is continuing to implement the policies of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, aimed at strengthening communication bridges between Bahraini youth and their peers in brotherly countries, foremost among them the sister Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Minister of Youth Affairs indicated that the establishment of the Bahraini-Egyptian Youth Council through the agreement between the Ministry of Youth and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Arab Republic of Egypt represents a qualitative leap in joint youth work. The council will work to organize cooperation and strengthen relations between the youth of the two countries through an integrated roadmap of youth programs, activities, and policies, developing initiatives that enhance the role of youth in development, in addition to exchanging youth visits and delegations and joint external representation. The council will also contribute to consolidating the values of youth diplomacy and enhancing sustainable development partnerships, as well as building qualified national youth models for global dialogue, capable of spreading a culture of peace and enhancing the image of both countries in international forums.
