The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the killing of 113 people in the Gaza Strip, including 33 aid seekers, while 304 others were injured due to continued Israeli air and artillery bombardment over the past 24 hours, raising the total death toll since the start of the war to 63,746.

The Ministry also recorded six deaths due to hunger and malnutrition in the last 24 hours, including a child, bringing the total malnutrition deaths to 367, including 131 children.

More than 15 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since dawn today amid ongoing Israeli air and artillery strikes.

Four Palestinians, including a pregnant woman, were killed after an Israeli strike targeted a residential apartment near the Fishermen’s Port west of Gaza City.

The pregnant woman’s mother told BBC in complete breakdown and tears: “We were sleeping, suddenly we woke up when we heard sounds, everything around us was dark and the room was filled with thick smoke… Then I went to my daughter’s room to find her, her husband, and children all killed. My daughter was seven months pregnant, and I found the fetus dead beside her.”

She added, questioning: “Why all this bombing? Her fetus was seven months old, and her husband and daughters, who were lying face down, were also killed.”

Meanwhile, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported that more than 76,000 Palestinians have been displaced in the past two weeks across Gaza City, where famine has been declared.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Israeli reservists have begun mobilizing as the government plans to expand the offensive to take control of the entire Gaza City.

Following the Israeli army’s announcement of its readiness to expand fighting inside Gaza City and its calls for civilians to stay away from combat zones, BBC spoke to some Gaza residents.

Abu Yahya, a displaced person, hopes countries will stand with the Palestinian people, telling BBC: “We are tired, where will we go? We displaced from the north to the south, then back to the north. We need $1,000 to ride cars and move, and we don’t have a single dollar. The Palestinian people have collapsed.”

Another displaced person said, “We no longer fear death or life. Either way, we will die today or tomorrow. If the Israeli army wants to invade Gaza, let it invade.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, stating it was aimed at Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Ben Gurion Airport.

The Israeli army radio reported that five ballistic missiles and two drones have been launched since the assassination of Yemen’s government head in Sanaa, loyal to the Houthi Ansar Allah movement, and several ministers.

In a related context, “Day of Disruptions” events began this morning in Jerusalem, organized by families of hostages and supporting groups, demanding an end to the war and a deal to release the hostages.

Protests focused in front of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence on Gaza Street, where demonstrators pitched tents and set fires.

Protests are scheduled to continue at several locations in the city, including the Knesset and Gaza Street, concluding with a central march on Saturday evening.

On another front, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said at a press conference in Jerusalem on Wednesday that his government will not allow Israeli cities to become like the Gaza envelope areas, stressing that imposing sovereignty over the West Bank is a realistic step to confront the political attack on Israel.

Smotrich added that the US administration supports Israel’s decision to eliminate the idea of establishing a Palestinian state, emphasizing that his government’s goal is to completely eradicate that idea.

Hamas leader Abdel Hakim Hanini commented on Smotrich’s statements about imposing sovereignty over the West Bank, saying it is “evidence of the settler government’s approach, which commits genocide in Gaza and seeks to impose annexation and displacement in the West Bank,” according to his expression.

Hanini also said the Palestinian people “will remain steadfast and cling to their principles and historical rights,” and that Israel’s attempts to “impose new realities on the ground or cancel the Palestinians’ right to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital will not succeed.”
