A citizen donated 5 dunams of land for 3 years to serve the hospital visitors.
The Chairman of the Greater Irbid Municipality Committee, Engineer Emad Al-Azzam, stated that the municipal council approved the preparation of a plot of land measuring 5 dunams and 342 square meters to serve as parking for private vehicles of patients, visitors, and attendees of the new Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid.
Al-Azzam explained that the land, located about 350 meters from the hospital’s main entrance, was donated by its owners for three years without any compensation. This step aims to solve the expected parking problem with the hospital’s upcoming operation. An official agreement will be signed with the landowners regarding this matter.
He added that the donors also took the initiative to level the land and plant 500 shade trees from ornamental species, giving the area an aesthetic dimension and providing natural shade for visitors’ vehicles. The municipality will soon complete the necessary preparations to maximize the use of the land as parking serving the health service recipients at the new hospital.
Al-Azzam praised the initiative of the landowners, describing it as an honorable model in serving the local community, noting that this donation reflects a high national sense and a feeling of responsibility towards the city and its vital facilities.
He confirmed that such initiatives contribute to enhancing solidarity and partnership between citizens and official institutions and support efforts to provide a better service environment for visitors to the new Princess Basma Hospital.
