The GCC Ministerial Council strongly condemns the genocide committed by Israeli occupation forces against the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The council, currently chaired by Kuwait, praised the mediation efforts by the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America, calling for the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2735 in June 2024.

The council vehemently condemned “the genocide committed by Israeli occupation forces against the people of Gaza, the deliberate siege policy that caused famine in Gaza, ethnic cleansing, collective punishment, killing of civilians and journalists, torture, field executions, enforced disappearances and forced displacement, looting, and the ongoing destruction of residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, universities, mosques, churches, and infrastructure, aimed at displacing the population and re-settling the area.”

GCC foreign ministers also condemned Israel’s targeting of humanitarian and UN organizations, and the continuous attacks on humanitarian aid convoys, stressing the responsibility of Israeli occupation forces to deliver essential humanitarian aid and not obstruct the work of international organizations.

Since October 2023, Israel, with US support, has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza’s population, including killing, starving, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls to cease the war and orders from the International Court of Justice in this regard.

The genocide has resulted in over 63,000 martyrs and 160,000 injured, with 348 Palestinians dying from starvation, including 127 children, according to the latest statistics from the Gaza Ministry of Health.
