The Sharjah Agricultural and Animal Production Foundation “Ektifa”, affiliated with the Department of Agriculture and Animal Wealth, signed an agreement with “Al Waha Livestock” company, owner of the “Dhabihati” app, to distribute the foundation’s organic meat and free-range poultry products through the smart application and deliver them to all emirates of the UAE.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Eng. Khalifa Al-Tunaiji, CEO of “Ektifa”, and Ali Shujaa, CEO of “Al Waha”. They agreed to enhance innovation and use best practices in preparing, cutting, packaging, and delivering meat and poultry to customers, supporting cooperation with private sector companies and increasing targets of the national investment strategy to boost the competitiveness of the UAE economy regionally and internationally.
A Qualitative Leap
Dr. Al-Tunaiji said: “The foundation works on using all modern technologies and means in distributing its products, representing a qualitative leap in the shopping experience, allowing customers to easily obtain products that reach their hands. It seeks to increase its presence in the local market in line with its digital marketing strategy. The agreement with “Al Waha” comes within Ektifa’s approach to enhance cooperation with the private sector, as its institutions are a key partner and supporter in achieving sustainability and providing smart and advanced capabilities and services.”
He pointed out that this cooperation benefits society under the UAE’s vision to be a pioneer in all fields, especially smart services, keen on providing community services that contribute to achieving quality of life.
Distribution Expansion
Al-Tunaiji confirmed that “Ektifa” aims through this agreement to reach the largest database of the public, especially as the number of consumers via the “Dhabihati” app has reached about 500,000. Thus, this partnership will expand Ektifa’s distribution network and ensure organic food products reach the widest possible segment.
Economic Development
Ali Shujaa said: “The partnership with “Ektifa” is a significant support that contributes to stimulating public-private partnership to develop joint projects and provide services to the community, supporting sustainable economic development and enhancing quality of life. The app facilitates customers in obtaining organic meat and free-range poultry without the hassle of going to the market, as a qualified team of doctors, administrators, and workers delivers the product to the consumer at the recommended time and place.”
