The Esports World Cup in Riyadh attracted over 3 million visitors and 750 million viewers across digital platforms, alongside 1,500 community, cultural, and entertainment events, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s success in engaging audiences and global companies. Initiated by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2023, the event has rapidly evolved into a global championship that reshapes the gaming industry worldwide. Supported by the national strategy launched in 2022, the sector aims to create 39,000 jobs and contribute up to 50 billion SAR by 2030. The event also saw a significant increase in players and participating countries, with 2,000 players from 100 countries competing in 2025 compared to 1,500 players from 80 countries previously. The Riyadh Boulevard area hosted these events over a month and a half, with total viewing hours exceeding 350 million. Saudi Arabia continues to lead in esports, preparing for even bigger future events that aim to unite the region and showcase its potential globally.
