The Professional Squash Players Association announced the list of participants for the London Classic Championship, the second tournament of the new season, hosted by England from September 2 to 7, with prize money totaling $133,500, classifying it as a gold tournament. Four male players will compete: Youssef Ibrahim, Mohamed El Sherbini, Youssef Suleiman, and Mohamed Abouelghar. Seven female players will participate: Hana Moataz, Firoz Abou El Kheir, Nour Abou El Makarem, Kenzy Ayman, Mariam Metwally, Hana Ramadan, and Amina Orfi. Meanwhile, rising Egyptian champion Habiba Hany won the PSA Beja Open, the first tournament of the 2025-2026 season, held from August 13 to 17 in Australia, with prize money of $27,500, placing it in the bronze category. Habiba defeated India’s Anahat Singh, the top seed, 3-1 in the final, which lasted 28 minutes.
The Professional Squash Players Association also announced the new player rankings before the new season, with Egyptians Mostafa Asal and Nouran Gohar maintaining their top positions, Ali Abu El Einin moving up to eighth place, and Youssef Suleiman dropping to ninth.
