The Ajman Department of Tourism Development launched yesterday the fifth edition of the Ajman Stamp and Coin Exhibition at the Bahri Palace Hotel in Ajman, attended by the Director General of the department, Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, alongside several officials, enthusiasts, and collectors from inside and outside the country.
The exhibition is a prominent platform that combines culture, history, and economy, showcasing more than 10,000 rare pieces of postal stamps and coins, both metallic and paper, with a total value exceeding five million dirhams. Among these are historical issues used in the UAE before the formation of the federation, as well as others documenting significant events and milestones in the region and its countries. The accompanying program includes specialized workshops, educational lectures, a public auction for rare collectibles, distinguished competitions, and recognition of the most notable collections.
Al Hashimi said, “Organizing the fifth edition of the exhibition represents an advanced step in the emirate’s journey to consolidate its position as a leading destination for cultural and heritage exhibitions in the region. The event serves as a cultural bridge connecting generations and enhancing awareness of our national history and rich heritage, which carries rare collectibles that tell the story of the UAE and document its bright milestones.”
He added, “Experts and collectors from around the world gather at the exhibition to exchange experiences and enrich Ajman’s cultural and tourism content. We are committed to continuing to support such initiatives that enhance national identity and place Ajman on the map of distinguished international events.”
