Italian media reports reveal that Juventus is preparing a strong plan to sign Mike Maignan, Milan’s goalkeeper, on a free transfer at the end of the current season.
According to the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport,” Juventus management is closely monitoring the developments regarding the renewal of the French goalkeeper’s contract with Milan, which expires at the end of this season, with no final agreement reached yet.
Juventus plans to take advantage of the stalled negotiations between the Lombard club and the international goalkeeper to convince him to move to Turin in the upcoming summer transfer window for free, a move that would be a major blow to their traditional rival in the Italian league.
The newspaper pointed out that Maignan, considered one of Europe’s top goalkeepers in recent years, is attracting interest from major European clubs, including German Bayern Munich and English Chelsea, both of which are also considering signing him for free next summer.
It is worth noting that Mike Maignan (29 years old) joined Milan in 2021 from French club Lille and played a significant role in helping the team win the Serie A title in the 2021-2022 season, before becoming a key pillar in the “Rossoneri” lineup.
