Hamas announced today, Thursday, that it has reached an agreement with Israel to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, including the withdrawal of Israeli forces, entry of aid, and prisoner exchange.

The movement praised in a statement the “efforts of mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey,” and also highlighted the American role led by President Donald Trump in seeking to end the war.

Hamas called on “all concerned parties, including the American president and the guarantor countries, to obligate Israel to fully implement the agreement without delay or procrastination.”

The movement also saluted the Palestinian people in Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank, noting “their sacrifices and heroic stances that contributed to thwarting the Israeli occupation’s plans,” affirming its commitment to “the rights of the Palestinian people to freedom, independence, and self-determination.”

US President Donald Trump announced via the “Truth Social” platform today the signing by Israel and Hamas of the first phase of the American peace plan, confirming that “all hostages will be released soon, and Israel will withdraw to an agreed-upon line as a first step toward lasting peace.”
