Dr. Islam Assaf, Deputy Minister of Health in Beheira, visited Kafr El-Dawar General Hospital to inspect the cardiac catheterization unit, which the ministry recently equipped with a cardiac catheterization device costing over 23 million Egyptian pounds.

Assaf coordinated with all ministry leaders to arrange necessary supplies and complete licensing and coding procedures within the waitlist elimination system.

He also directly coordinated with the Executive Director of Alexandria University Hospitals to train the medical team at the unit to the highest standards and to establish a cooperation protocol with the university to supply the unit with distinguished consultants from Alexandria University.

He confirmed that this unit is a strong addition to the services at Kafr El-Dawar General Hospital and to the health map of the governorate, contributing to the expansion of medical services provided to patients and serving the residents of Kafr El-Dawar and surrounding centers.

During the inspection, he emphasized that emergency patients should not be directed to purchase medications or supplies from outside the hospital to avoid additional burdens on citizens. He stressed full adherence to infection control instructions, quality, safety, occupational health standards, good conduct, administrative discipline, and the presence of medical teams in their designated areas.

He spoke with some patients to gather their opinions on the services provided, met with some patients’ families to listen to their views and requests, and inquired about their opinions on the medical care they received.
