Skin redness after excessive sun exposure is a common summer problem causing burning and discomfort, as well as affecting the skin’s appearance. Effective natural ingredients can soothe the skin and quickly restore its balance. Aloe vera gel, rich in vitamins and antioxidants, calms redness and deeply moisturizes the skin. Fresh aloe gel is extracted from the leaves and refrigerated for half an hour before applying to the skin for 20 minutes. A mixture of half a cup of cold yogurt with one tablespoon of honey is applied to the face for 15 minutes; yogurt cools the skin thanks to lactic acid, while honey provides moisture and antibacterial effects. Cold mashed cucumber is applied directly to irritated areas to reduce redness and provide a refreshing sensation.
Two tablespoons of pure rose water mixed with one tablespoon of honey form a homogeneous paste that is gently applied to sunburned areas using cotton or fingertips.
