Transport Minister Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin inspected the Air Navigation and Meteorology Directorate at King Hussein Airport in the city of Aqaba, emphasizing the importance of monitoring improvements in air navigation to ensure aviation security and safety.
On the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting held on Saturday in Aqaba, Al-Qatamin reviewed key projects implemented by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, including the radar surveillance system and the automatic landing system, which aim to enhance navigation and air safety in Aqaba and provide advanced radar coverage according to international standards.
During the visit, Al-Qatamin also reviewed the services provided by the meteorological station at the airport, highlighting the importance of developing the equipment related to weather monitoring to offer comprehensive services for air navigation in line with international requirements and practices.
