Ongoing cooperation in training, employment, supporting the most needy groups, and implementing the new labor law provisions

Minister of Labor Mohamed Gabrán received today, Tuesday, Major General Akram Mohamed Galal, Governor of Ismailia, to activate cooperation on all files of mutual interest.

The minister and governor reviewed areas of cooperation, especially in training and employment files, enhancing labor relations at production sites, providing support, protection, and care for the most vulnerable groups, especially irregular workers, and integrating persons with disabilities into the labor market in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Gabrán confirmed that the ministry continues its efforts to implement the new Labor Law No. 14 of 2025, which achieves greater job security for workers, encourages investment, and spreads the culture of occupational safety and health within workplaces to ensure workers’ health and the safety of production tools in a decent work environment. He explained that he directed the directors of governorate offices to intensify inspection campaigns, especially on foreign work permits, the validity of labor contracts, and ensuring the application of occupational safety and health principles.

The minister also reviewed the ministry’s efforts in developing the vocational training system for employment and developing youth skills in line with labor market needs domestically and abroad.

For his part, the Governor of Ismailia expressed his appreciation for the ministry’s efforts and cooperation in all joint fields, especially vocational training and providing decent job opportunities within private sector establishments. He pointed out that the governorate is witnessing an unprecedented industrial boom during this period that has succeeded in providing thousands of decent job opportunities and supporting economic development in the New Republic established by President El-Sisi.

The governor confirmed his keenness on further coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Labor in all activities that would enhance labor relations, increase production, encourage investment, and implement laws and decisions related to labor files.
