Manama, August 31 /BNA/ His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawada, Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Awqaf, affirmed that youth constitute a fundamental pillar in driving the development paths of the judicial sector, embodying the goals of the comprehensive development march led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, may God protect and preserve him, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, in building capacities and developing the skills of national cadres.
This came during a dialogue meeting between the Minister and a select group of youth participating in the third edition of the “Future Bet” program organized by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Bassam Ismail Al-Ben Mohammed, Board Member of the Bahrain Institute for Political Development, Ms. Iman Faisal Janahi, Executive Director of the Institute, and several officials from the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Awqaf and the Institute.
During the meeting, the Minister presented the key development initiatives in the justice sector, focusing on enhancing access to justice and consolidating the rule of law. He also reviewed the Ministry’s role in Islamic affairs, contributing to the establishment of the moderate approach, spreading Quranic sciences, and promoting religious values.
His Excellency also highlighted the Ministry’s role in supporting the national economy by developing services provided to citizens, residents, and investors, alongside supporting job creation through the introduction of new legal professions such as private executors, private notaries, and dispute mediators, in line with the goals of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
He reviewed the ongoing digital transformation witnessed by the judicial sector, which includes enforcement services, courts, minors, documentation, judicial announcements, Hajj, and other sectors, noting the contributions of youth in planning and implementing these essential projects that have contributed to a qualitative leap in facilitating and developing procedures.
His Excellency pointed to the role of the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies in spreading legal awareness and rights culture through regular programs, affirming that the human element, especially youth, is a central focus and priority of the Institute.
It is noteworthy that the “Future Bet” program aims to continue empowering participants and raising their awareness of the comprehensive development march that embodies the high visions of His Majesty the King and the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to educating them about sustainable development goals and their relation to Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. The program also provides them with the necessary skills and knowledge, trains them in teamwork, and encourages them to present developmental and creative initiatives and proposals that contribute to the nation’s renaissance and advancement. It also develops their leadership skills, enhances the culture of dialogue and opinion exchange, and prepares them for active engagement in national work.
The third edition of the program follows the success of the previous two editions and includes a series of dialogue meetings that bring together ministers, senior state officials, and a select group of participating youth to discuss topics concerning the present and future of the nation.
