Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, made sure to visit Hassan Shehata, the former head coach of the Egyptian national team and one of Egypt’s football legends. He also ensured that Hassan Shehata receives all care and attention in appreciation of his great role, emphasizing that the Egyptian state stands behind all its sports heroes who have contributed greatly to the nation, which is their right, wishing him a speedy recovery.
The former national team coach is preparing to undergo surgery in the coming days after completing the necessary medical examinations. Hassan Shehata has undergone medical tests and preparations for this surgery for some time until doctors allow the operation to proceed.
Earlier, Karim Hassan Shehata, the son of the former national team coach, said that his father is preparing for surgery after a period of medical tests and preparations. He explained that Coach Hassan Shehata underwent sessions and tests to prepare for the surgery but felt increased fatigue in recent days, which led to his hospitalization.
He added, “My father contracted a virus or bacteria in his stomach, which delayed the surgery for now, but his condition is stable and he is receiving the necessary treatment,” reassuring the public about his health status.
He concluded by confirming that the family is closely monitoring Hassan Shehata’s condition and expressed optimism about his health improving in the coming days in preparation for the surgery.
