Ambassador Mohamed Kamel Amr, former Egyptian Foreign Minister, revealed details about the White House plan to stop the war on Gaza, stating that the plan begins with a ceasefire. Within 72 hours, Hamas will release living prisoners and other bodies, while Israel will release about 250 Palestinians sentenced to life imprisonment and 700 people arrested after the events of October 7, including children and women.

Amr added during his appearance on the “Studio Extra” program on Extra News channel that if this phase proceeds as planned, Israeli forces will gradually withdraw, and Hamas will announce the surrender of its weapons and dismantle its infrastructure of tunnels and trenches, marking the first phase.

The second phase concerns the security situation in Gaza, with the Security and Peace Council headed by President Trump managing Gaza during this transitional phase. No one will be forced to leave Gaza, and those who leave will be able to return.

Amr pointed out that Trump’s plan includes restructuring the Palestinian Authority, but the current ruling coalition will not accept it. Netanyahu’s acceptance of the plan means he has an alternative plan in mind and may call for early elections, betting on being re-elected by the Israeli people because he released all the hostages and returned the bodies with full support from the US government. He confirmed that Trump is the only US president in history who can say no to Israel.
