Engineer Sherif Al-Sharbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, followed up on the progress of several projects being implemented in Hadaeq Al Qahira City, including a new regional bus station, a sewage pumping station, and the fifth phase of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in the city, all within the state’s plan to provide adequate housing and integrated services for citizens in new cities.

The Minister directed to accelerate work on these projects and adhere to standard specifications and quality standards in executing the works, noting that Hadaeq Al Qahira City is steadily advancing towards achieving comprehensive urban development, in line with the Ministry of Housing’s strategy to develop and implement new cities and improve the living standards of citizens in these cities.

He also emphasized the continuous supply of necessary materials to increase completion rates, ensure quality, and boost reliance on local products, pointing out the need to exert more efforts in coordination with the Social Housing Fund to deliver units to registrants as soon as possible and benefit from service projects.

In this context, officials of the Hadaeq Al Qahira City Authority inspected the new regional bus station project, covering an area of 12,000 square meters, which includes 38 shelters designated for large, medium, and small buses, organized waiting areas for passengers, and 14 commercial shops to serve visitors and meet their daily needs.

The officials also inspected the sewage pumping station project south of the 2350 Feddan area and the 1200 mm diameter discharge line and its annexes. The project components include a pumping station with a pump chamber, treatment building, generator building, transformer building, electrical distribution building, warehouse, workshop, administrative building, fence and guard room, water hammer, entry chamber (2000 mm flexible cast iron), barrier chamber, tunnel meter under the Suez Road, with push and reception chambers, valve chamber, and internal line.

Officials also reviewed road works and site coordination at the “Housing for All Egyptians – Fifth Phase (90 m² units)” project, aiming to complete the projects with the highest quality and safety standards, alongside following up on requests from citizens present at the authority’s technology center, listening to their feedback, and completing their transactions such as unit delivery requests, utility fee payments, land installment payments, permits, license applications, water meter requests and deliveries, electricity cards, gas contracts, and other services.

Similarly, officials inspected the Al-Zohour neighborhood in the fourth phase of “Housing for All Egyptians – Low-Income Axis” in the 2350 Feddan area to monitor the general condition, emphasizing rapid completion while fully adhering to quality standards in construction and finishing works, and compliance with occupational safety and health rules at work sites.

During the tour, officials confirmed the speedy completion of road and asphalt works in ready areas, completing curbs, sidewalks, and interlock paving around buildings to provide an integrated urban environment for residents, in addition to the necessity of providing seedlings, plants, and trees to complete landscaping along main and secondary roads and around buildings, as well as attention to irrigation and regular maintenance of green spaces to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the developed areas.
