Engineer Sherif Al-Sharbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, confirmed that 2,004 plots were offered in New Cairo in the latest offering, and there is no available land for additional offerings within New Cairo. All added lands are in prime locations, and there is no truth to the offering of “leftover” lands.

During a phone interview with Ahmed Moussa, host of the program “Ala Mas’ouliyati” on Sada El-Balad channel, Sherif Al-Sharbini stated that the government has governance rules for land allocation, allowing each applicant to obtain only one plot. He clarified that no client in the tenth phase received more than one plot, and there is no favoritism in land allocation. The application period has been extended until October 8 to meet the needs of Egyptians abroad.

The Minister pointed out that all needs of those who applied to the “Beit Al-Watan” initiative have been met, and additional lands were offered to accommodate the large delayed transfers in the project. Lands were also offered in all governorates across the country within the initiative.

Engineer Sherif Al-Sharbini also confirmed that the issue of old rent is a priority for the ministry. He indicated that starting in October, the classification of cases according to income brackets will begin. The rental model for the elderly will be based on income brackets, with options for ownership rent and known real estate financing.

He added that social housing announcements are regularly issued, with the latest announcement made in August and continuing until mid-October for the “Housing for All Egyptians” project.

The ministry has completed the delivery of the tenth phase and continues to deliver the remaining units for about a month.

The Minister also addressed the issue of Zamalek Club’s land, affirming that the club is prestigious and has a wide fan base, and the ministry is proud of it. He explained that the file witnessed coordination and cooperation with Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and a memorandum was submitted to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

He clarified that Hussein Labib communicated with them, confirming that there are no disputes with the club, and the solution will be soon, possibly granting the club alternative land in the Tagamoa area.
