Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi stated on Tuesday that Iran’s relations with Turkey have always held special importance and status. He emphasized that neighboring countries are not just neighbors but one family. Salehi highlighted ongoing meetings and discussions between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan across various levels and fields. He expressed regret over the postponement of many events planned for 2025, declared the ‘Year of Turkish-Iranian Culture,’ due to the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials in a helicopter crash last year and subsequent political and security developments. He concluded by affirming that Iran’s relations with Turkey are extensive and deep.
