Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, along with Mohamed Gabrán, Minister of Labor, honored Tarek Mohamed Baras, the worker at Sadat level crossing in Beni Suef, for his vigilance and bravery in saving a young man from being killed under the wheels of train number 2011 coming from Aswan to Cairo while crossing the closed level crossing on Friday, August 22, 2025. The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Transport and the Railway Authority. The minister praised Baras as a model of dedication and sacrifice, highlighting the ministry’s comprehensive plan to develop the railway system focusing on human resource training. Baras received a certificate of appreciation and a financial reward. The minister also congratulated Baras’s daughter present at the ceremony, calling her father a pride for every Egyptian and an exemplary figure in dedication and service.
The minister urged citizens to adhere strictly to railway safety instructions to prevent accidents. Minister of Labor Mohamed Gabrán also praised Baras’s heroic act and affirmed the state’s support for exemplary workers to encourage dedication and excellence in work.
