Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health for Projects and Public Health Initiatives, confirmed that Egypt applies the highest standards in cancer treatment, praising the role of presidential initiatives in enhancing service performance.
He pointed out that the presidential initiative for women’s health aims to reduce breast cancer deaths by 25% by 2030.
He added that the presidential initiative for early detection and treatment of cancer includes lung, colon, prostate, and cervical cancers, covering more than 3,700 primary care units.
Dr. Hassani also stated that the initiative has trained over 30,000 medical staff on the latest diagnostic and treatment protocols and contributed to the detection of 5,335 breast cancer cases.
