The Moscow Transport Authority and RT Arabic channel launched a new media campaign targeting tourists from the Middle East and North Africa titled “Your Best Destination!”. Moscow has become a preferred destination for Arab tourists due to its rich history, unmatched beauty, and distinctive landmarks. RT Arabic collaborated with Moscow Transport Authority to launch a welcoming campaign for Arab tourists, featuring Arabic language posters decorating public transport stations in the historic heart of Moscow, with distinctive calligraphy and symbols representing both Russian and Arab cultures. Alongside the famous Russian doll “Matryoshka,” the Dallah symbolizing Arab hospitality is displayed.
The joint cooperation project between RT Arabic and Moscow Transport Authority also includes issuing exclusive creatively designed “Troika” cards, essential for using public transport in the city.
To facilitate Arab tourists’ visits, the “Your Best Destination!” campaign introduces them to the main tourist attractions and how to visit them via the public transport system, one of Moscow’s prominent features and among the most advanced transport systems worldwide.
As part of this cooperation, Arabic-speaking tourists can access all transport news in Moscow through a special section on the RT Arabic website titled “Hello, Moscow!”.
In this context, Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, said: “Moscow is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, and in line with Mayor Sergey Sobyanin’s directives, we strive to make city transportation easier and more comfortable, including for foreign guests. For the second time, in cooperation with RT Arabic, we launched a project introducing Arabic-speaking travelers to Moscow’s comfortable and reliable transport means.”
Maya Manaa, Director of RT Arabic, commented on the important project: “I feel happy walking the streets of the capital, hearing tourists speak Arabic, seeing their amazement at the city’s beauty, and their joy when they see Moscow welcoming them with Arabic letters on the streets. Our colleagues at the Transport Authority, like RT Arabic, work to make visiting Moscow accessible and enjoyable for all tourists from the Middle East. Here we found a chance to cooperate; Moscow’s transport system facilitates movement between the most beautiful sites and landmarks, while our site provides Arabic explanations on how to do so.”
The posters are expected to decorate Moscow’s streets welcoming Arabic-speaking visitors until October 2025, coinciding with the end of the summer tourism season and the “Russia-Arab World” summit scheduled for October 14-15, 2025.
