Media personality Hind Al-Dawawy stated that Egypt succeeded in capitalizing on the crisis situation Israel is experiencing, alongside US President Donald Trump’s desire to calm the situation, to reach a historic agreement signed today in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh. She confirmed that this agreement represents a new victory for Egyptian diplomacy.

During the presentation of the program “Cairo Talk” broadcast on Cairo and the People channel, Hind Al-Dawawy explained that President Trump responded very quickly to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s invitation, recognizing the importance of Egypt’s pivotal role in stopping the bloodshed of war and achieving the interests of all parties. She pointed out that Cairo has recently managed to reposition itself as a main mediator in regional issues.

Hind Al-Dawawy affirmed that Egypt is the only country in the world after China that said “No” to the US President, adding: “Even Russian President Vladimir Putin, when he rejected some US proposals, did not declare it explicitly, while Egypt said it clearly: No to displacement, no to free passage through the Suez Canal, and we will not allow the imposition of a new Middle East.”
