Algerian international player Ismaël Ben Nasser responded to a new proposal involving a potential move to another team.
The 27-year-old midfielder is still under contract with Italian club AC Milan, which runs until summer 2027.
The Milan management informed Ben Nasser that Turkish club Trabzonspor is interested in signing him, with the Turkish club’s officials offering to cover a hefty annual salary close to 5.1 million euros.
Ben Nasser replied to Milan’s officials that he wants to take some time before making a final decision. Note that the summer transfer window in Turkey closes on September 12, unlike Italy’s which closed last Monday.
The high salary demand was behind many clubs backing out of purchasing the Algerian international’s contract, according to the Italian newspaper “Tutto Sport” in a report published Wednesday. For example, French club Olympique Marseille proposed extending the loan period until summer 2026 due to their inability to afford his salary for the following year.
