Ukrainian media reported on Monday that Russian missile attacks across Ukraine resulted in several injuries just hours before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was to meet U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington. Russian missiles struck an industrial area in the eastern city of Kharkiv at night, injuring 11 people, including a 13-year-old child. The military governor Oleksiy Synyehubov stated that the injured suffered acute psychological shock. Explosions also damaged nearby residential buildings due to blast waves. Explosions were also reported in other cities. Odessa’s mayor, Gennadiy Trukhanov, said the city was attacked by a Russian drone, while the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk also faced attacks by unidentified drones. Fires broke out at both locations according to local and Russian Telegram channels.
The Ukrainian General Staff reported 65 armed clashes on Sunday, including in Kupiansk where Ukrainian positions were hit by guided glide bombs and rocket launchers, and Pokrovsk which saw 27 Russian attacks during the day, all repelled. Ukraine has been resisting the Russian invasion for nearly three and a half years.
