Abdel Halim Allam, President of the Bar Association and the Arab Lawyers Union, praised the historic outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, which reflected the sincere international and Arab will to support the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement to end the war in Gaza, signed on October 9, 2025. This agreement represents a decisive shift towards stopping the bloodshed and ending the suffering of the brotherly Palestinian people after more than two years of aggression, siege, and extermination.
In this context, the Bar Association President expressed his utmost respect and admiration for the steadfast Palestinian people who demonstrated remarkable resilience and defiance, defending their land, identity, and historic rights against the brutal war machine, proving that the will of peoples is stronger than occupation and aggression.
Abdel Halim Allam also expressed deep gratitude and pride in the national and Arab role played by the Arab Republic of Egypt, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for its intensive and continuous diplomatic efforts to end the war, achieve calm, and consolidate security and peace in the region, reaffirming Egypt’s leading position and steadfast role in supporting just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
The Bar Association confirms that it will always remain a platform for truth and a voice for law and justice, supporting the Egyptian and Arab stance in defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people until they achieve full freedom and establish their independent state on their land with East Jerusalem as its capital.
