SpaceX confirmed the successful return of the first stage of the rocket to Earth about 8.5 minutes after launch, landing on SpaceX’s autonomous ship in the Atlantic Ocean. SpaceX announced the launch of the cargo spacecraft ‘Dragon CRS-33’ to the International Space Station. The spacecraft was launched aboard the Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA. The spacecraft carries about 2270 kilograms of NASA supplies to the ISS, including several scientific experiments to be studied in the space environment, in addition to food, supplies, and equipment needed by the astronauts aboard the station. The first stage of the rocket successfully returned to Earth after approximately 8.5 minutes of launch, landing on SpaceX’s autonomous ship in the Atlantic. The spacecraft is scheduled to autonomously dock with the space station on Monday.
The ‘Dragon CRS-33’ capsule is expected to remain attached to the ISS until December, after which astronauts will load it with completed cargo and scientific experiments to return to Earth.
