Under the patronage of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council, the National Cybersecurity Center concluded the national cyber exercise “Cyber Shield 2025,” held under the theme “Supply Chain Attacks,” with wide participation from various government entities and vital private sectors.

The closing ceremony was also attended by several ministers and senior officials.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the success achieved by the exercise enhances the high national readiness to protect the cyber space and reflects the capabilities of Bahraini competencies to deal with evolving threats.

He stated that the Kingdom of Bahrain is advancing in enhancing its advanced digital infrastructure according to the highest global standards, contributing to the protection of cybersecurity in the country.

His Highness added that the exercise was an important milestone for cooperation and exchange of expertise among various institutions, contributing to raising the level of national coordination and enhancing Bahrain’s position in confronting cyberattacks.

He directed the National Cybersecurity Center to hold the exercise annually, given its prominent role in continuing progress and prosperity in the field of cybersecurity.

Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the National Cybersecurity Center, delivered a speech expressing his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his great support for the exercise, noting that this support significantly and directly contributed to the full success and desired objectives of the exercise.

At the end of the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa honored several entities, participants, and a group of national competencies who won in the exercise, expressing his appreciation for their outstanding efforts that contributed to the success of the exercise and highlighted the honorable image of Bahraini competencies.

The winners in the entities competition were: Telecommunications and Transport Sector (STC), Government Sector (Bahrain Chamber), Security Sector (Ministry of Interior), Energy and Industry Sector (Bapco Energies), Financial and Banking Sector (Bahrain and Kuwait Bank), Educational Sector (Bahrain Institute for Political Development), and Health Sector (Gulf Medical Center and Diabetes).

In the individual competition, the results were as follows: in the Telecommunications and Transport sector, the representative of STC won; in the Government sector, the representative of the Prime Minister’s Office won; in the Security sector, the representative of the Secretariat-General of the Supreme Defense Council won; in the Energy and Industry sector, the representative of Bapco Energies won; in the Financial and Banking sector, the representative of National Bank of Kuwait won; in the Educational sector, the representative of Arabian Gulf University won; and in the Health sector, the representative of Bio Lab won.
