His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province, received today at his office in the Emirate’s Diwan the Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs, Engineer Raed bin Abdulaziz Al-Shuneiber, accompanied by several ministry leaders. His Highness praised the great support provided by the wise leadership for developing the energy sector, especially the electricity system, emphasizing that this support enabled the ministry to implement qualitative projects that positively reflected on services and contributed to improving quality of life and enhancing the reliability of the electrical system. The Deputy Emir also highlighted the role of national cadres in adopting the latest technologies and raising the efficiency of the electrical system, noting that continuous development of electrical services enhances the competitiveness of the national economy and keeps pace with the rapid development requirements in the Eastern Province.
Engineer Raed Al-Shuneiber presented to His Highness a briefing on the most prominent strategic initiatives in the electricity sector, including plans to enhance sustainability, diversify energy sources, and apply innovative solutions to reduce emissions and increase operational efficiency. At the end of the meeting, Engineer Al-Shuneiber expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Emir for his interest and follow-up, affirming the ministry’s commitment to continue development to achieve a balanced energy mix that supports sustainability and raises operational efficiency. Additionally, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz received at his office today Dr. Adel bin Mohammed Abu Zanadah, President of King Faisal University, along with several university deputies, on the occasion of the start of the academic year 1447 AH.
The Deputy Emir praised the continuous support provided by the wise leadership to Saudi universities, stressing that investment in education is the foundation of developmental renaissance and a key axis in preparing qualified national competencies for the future. He also commended King Faisal University’s efforts in developing its academic and research programs and enhancing its community role, contributing to serving the sons and daughters of the Kingdom and meeting labor market needs for specialized disciplines that support the development journey. The university president presented a comprehensive report to His Highness on the university’s preparations for the new year, including its main academic, research, and developmental plans, as well as current and future projects, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Emir for the support the university receives.
