US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza, announced by the White House on Monday evening, specifies the entity that will govern Gaza in the upcoming period if all parties accept the plan.

A Non-Political Palestinian Technocratic Committee

According to the plan, Gaza will be governed by a temporary transitional government consisting of a non-political Palestinian technocratic committee responsible for managing public services and daily municipalities for Gaza’s residents.

Led by Trump

This committee will be composed of qualified Palestinians and international experts, supervised by a new international transitional body called the “Peace Council,” chaired by President Donald Trump, along with other members and heads of state to be announced, including former Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The Plan’s Role

The plan states: “This body will set the framework and manage the necessary funding to redevelop Gaza until the Palestinian Authority completes its reform program and is able to safely and effectively regain control of Gaza. This body will use the best international standards to establish modern and effective governance that serves Gaza’s residents and helps attract investment.”

Gaza Without Hamas Rule

It adds: “Hamas and other factions agree not to undertake any role in governing Gaza, whether directly, indirectly, or in any form.” According to the plan, the United States will work with Arab and international partners to establish a temporary International Stability Force (ISF) for immediate deployment in Gaza. Trump’s plan reveals: “This force will train and support vetted Palestinian police forces in Gaza, consult with Jordan and Egypt who have extensive experience in this field, and will be the long-term internal security solution.”
