The young Saudi Rashid Al-Hwaiti achieved a remarkable feat by driving his classic Mercedes car, model 1929, on a long journey lasting a full month, starting from the city of Tabuk in northern Saudi Arabia to the Emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Al-Hwaiti’s adventure started from Tabuk, passing through several Saudi cities, most notably Hail, Riyadh, and Al-Ahsa, before crossing the border heading to Dubai. During this journey covering thousands of kilometers, he faced many challenges, most notably dealing with emergency breakdowns of the old car, in addition to the harsh summer weather conditions.

Despite these difficulties, Al-Hwaiti was keen to complete his journey, which he described as an adventure; it was not only a test of the classic car’s ability to cover long distances but also a test of his determination and passion for this type of car, which he sees as part of the history of the global automotive industry.

The car, which dates back about a century, still retains its mechanical originality and attractive classic appearance, making it a subject of admiration among passersby in various cities, where many stopped to take photos and chat with Al-Hwaiti about the history of this rare vehicle, reflecting the community’s passion for heritage cars.

Al-Hwaiti’s journey received wide interaction on social media platforms, where people praised his determination to undertake an unusual challenge with a car that is about 96 years old.
