The UAE youth cycling team continued its remarkable performance at the Arab Road Cycling Championship held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, by adding three new medals—two golds and one bronze—bringing their total to six medals (four golds and two bronzes), a testament to the strength of Emirati cycling in the Arab arena.
The team’s star, Youssef Amiri, claimed the gold in the individual general youth race, achieving a double after previously winning gold in the team time trial. Meanwhile, Ali Ahmed Nasirani earned the bronze in the same race. The UAE youth team also won gold in the team general individual race, maintaining their dominance in the top positions of the championship.
The Arab Championship continues until October 13, featuring nine Arab national teams: UAE, Iraq, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Libya.
The team started its participation by winning two golds and one bronze in the early days, before adding three more medals today, clearly reflecting the high technical readiness of the young cyclists and the excellent preparation they underwent in anticipation of upcoming challenges.
