Once again, the Kingdom of Bahrain is writing a new chapter of global success, this time through motorsport, after the “McLaren” team, owned by Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company “Mumtalakat”, achieved an exceptional feat by winning the Constructors’ Championship in the Formula One World Championship for the second consecutive year.

This great victory, which we have become accustomed to witnessing and hearing about, confirms the prominent position Bahrain now holds on the global sports map and reflects the significant development that Bahraini motorsport has witnessed in recent years.

McLaren’s outstanding achievement was not a coincidence but the result of a clear vision and comprehensive strategic planning sponsored by the wise leadership under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of the Kingdom, may God protect and preserve him. This vision confirms His Majesty’s constant keenness to support vital sectors that represent a shining image of Bahrain internationally, including the sports sector, which has made qualitative leaps recently.

This success also comes as a result of the continuous support and great interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, who believes that sporting excellence is an important pillar of national development and a fundamental contributor to enhancing Bahrain’s global image.

On the implementation level, Mumtalakat, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, played a vital role in achieving this accomplishment. The company adopted a new investment approach focusing on supporting national talents and competencies and developing promising sectors such as motorsport, successfully building an integrated system that provides the Bahraini team with the resources and support it needs to be a real competitor in the Formula 1 arena.

Thanks to this support and continuous successes, Bahrain’s name has become closely associated with success in international motorsport forums, proving that investment in sports is a fundamental element of sustainable development and building the future. This achievement also shows that Bahrain has the capability to compete confidently in one of the most competitive sports in the world.

What McLaren has achieved represents pride for every Bahraini, places the Kingdom among the leading countries in motorsport, and strengthens the determination to continue achieving more successes that will be recorded in the annals of global sports history.
