The spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced that the army will be ready to respond to any violation in Gaza.
Hani Marzouq told Al Arabiya on Thursday evening that “Israeli forces will not leave Gaza unless it is guaranteed that they will not pose a threat.”
He added that “the mission in Gaza is not over,” noting that “the Israeli government has legitimacy and will complete what it started.”
Earlier on Thursday, Israeli government spokesperson Shosh Badrasian confirmed that all concerned parties signed the final draft agreement in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh on the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
Badrasian also clarified that all living and deceased hostages will be released on Monday. She added that the ceasefire in Gaza will begin “within 24 hours” after government approval on Thursday evening.
