Coinciding with World Mental Health Day, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library organized an awareness lecture titled “Balanced Work Environments.. Productive Minds” by Dr. Ahmed Al Nuaimi, attended by a diverse audience interested in mental health and self-development fields.
The lecture highlighted the pivotal role mental health plays in the lives of individuals, communities in general, and employees in particular, amid increasing global pressures and challenges.
Dr. Ahmed Al Nuaimi reviewed the concept of “mental health” from a comprehensive scientific and human perspective, emphasizing that it includes the absence of mental illnesses, emotional balance, the ability to adapt, stress management, and fostering positive social relationships. He stressed that mental health care has become an essential part of comprehensive healthcare alongside physical health.
The lecture covered several key topics, notably the importance of psychological balance in facing work and daily life pressures, the impact of anxiety and depression on job performance and productivity, and ways to prevent mental disorders through practical practices such as exercise, meditation, and daily organization. It also addressed the role of educational institutions and workplaces in providing a supportive environment for mental health, considering it a fundamental factor in raising satisfaction and productivity levels among individuals.
