Palestinians continue to flee Gaza City as they await Hamas’ response to Trump’s 20-point peace plan.
With the ongoing “Gideon Vehicles 2” operation, residents continue to evacuate the city, with the Israeli army estimating over 750,000 Palestinians displaced towards the south.
Many walk barefoot or in worn-out shoes, dragging piles of their belongings under the scorching sun.
Upon reaching the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinians live in dire conditions, walking long distances and spending days searching for shelter, most in dilapidated tents if any.
The Israeli army announced it would provide aid to the displaced in the Al-Mawasi area in the southern Gaza Strip, which it called a “humanitarian zone.”
Israel is intensifying its operations to fully control Gaza City, targeting what it describes as Hamas’ infrastructure, with reports of tanks deep inside the city, according to the Associated Press.
The Gaza Health Ministry announced in its latest update on Monday that since October 7, 2023, the war has resulted in 66,055 deaths and 168,346 injuries.
